东风越野车有限公司成立于2002年8月15日，独家研发、生产具有东风完全自 主知识产权的东风“猛士”系列军用、民用越野车。  2018年11月19日，为适应军 队改革发展需要，东风汽车集团对军品事业整合，成立东风汽车集团有限公司特种 装备事业部（东风越野车有限公司）。新公司统筹管理和运营东风公司的军品事 业， 实现对猛士品牌业务研发制造一体化管理及全价值链运营。东风“猛士”作 为我军第一个第三代高机动性军车、第一个第三代基型战术平台、第一个系统的与 装备结合形成的作战系统，它融汇当今世界先进汽车技术，集聚我军轮式装备之大 成，拥有良好的机动性、动力性、生存性、适应性、保障性、运输性、安全性、可 靠性和耐用性。公司肩负强军报国、强企为民的神圣使命，全力巩固军车排名靠前 品牌，在致力成为行业特种装备企业的道路上砥砺前行。

Dongfeng Off road Vehicle Co. , Ltd. was established on August 15, 2002, exclusively researching and producing Dongfeng's "Mengshi" series military and civilian off-road vehicles with fully independent intellectual property rights. On November 19, 2018, in order to meet the needs of military reform and development, Dongfeng Motor Group integrated its military business and established the Special Equipment Division of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. (Dongfeng Off road Vehicle Co., Ltd.). The new company will coordinate the management and operation of Dongfeng's military business, achieving integrated management of research and development, manufacturing, and full value chain operation of the Mengshi brand business.
